Fourteen Years Ago

I don’t understand
Memories still fresh in my mind
Like it was just yesterday
I would never forget those times.

Just two summers shared together,
Memories untouched
Never been overwritten
Irreplaceable!
By anything nor anyone.

Isn’t it amazing?
Remembering,
Reminiscing,
Those moments together,
14 years ago?

We were young
So immature
Remember Princess Sarah?
O baka naman tayo’y
Julio’t Julia na’t
Pinagtagpo nanaman ng Tadhana?

Does it bring back memories?
Or maybe rings a bell
To give us a wake up call,
So we could rekindle what was
14 years ago.

Isn't it weird?
Or is it real love?
After those long years we were apart
Yet my heart belongs to you.

Too complex for the human mind to understand,
This feeling deep inside,
Beyond sense of reason,
Logically, scientifically unexplainable!
Never believed in destiny
But seems like its happening to me.

Looking back at childhood days
Every important and meaningful memory
Points to a meaningful and important person
That’s you.
14 years now and still it’s you.

Everything about you is meaningful to me,
Every moment spent together is a wonderful memory.
Been in and out of relationships
Yet happiest memories were with you.
14 years ago.

Yes! 14 years passed,
I might be in somebody else's arms but
Never missed a day of remembering you.
Keep on telling myself, I’d see you again.
I’d be with you again.

Wishing to bring back those days,
Still wishing to have you back,
Back in my arms again
I want to live life again, again with you
Just like 14 years ago.

Of happiness and longing
Just like 14 years ago.

Could you explain why?
Cuz I don’t understand.
When I try to forget
Thats when our paths cross again.
Maybe it was meant to be
Maybe we were meant to be.

Do you believe in destiny?
Do you believe in first love never dies?
